Job Title: MongoDB Database Specialist

Tata Consultancy Services is looking for a seasoned MongoDB administrator to join our team. As a key member of our database administration group, you will be responsible for ensuring the high availability and performance of our MongoDB deployments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deploy, maintain, and optimize MongoDB Atlas databases and related projects.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of database design, architecture, and setups.
  • Establish procedures for backup, recovery, and disaster recovery.
  • Administer MongoDB to achieve maximum availability and performance.
  • Design and implement sharding and indexing strategies for MongoDB.
  • Configure and monitor replica sets.
  • Perform patch upgrades and stay up-to-date with industry trends and standards.
  • Design and build operational infrastructure to support our databases, automating where possible.
  • Establish database security procedures and manage user permissions.
  • Provide support to the users community using incident problem management tools.

Requirements:

  • 8-12 years of experience in MongoDB administration.
  • Strong knowledge of MongoDB internals, including data storage, query execution, and replication.
  • Experience with MongoDB Atlas and related cloud services.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Cloud-native applications and containerization (e.g., Docker).
  • DevOps practices and automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Kubernetes).
  • Agile project management methodologies (e.g., Scrum).
