Job Title: Database Infrastructure Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Database Infrastructure Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our database administration team, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining high-performance databases that meet the evolving needs of our business.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SQL Server and experience with Always On Availability Groups, as well as hands-on experience with AWS database migration (DMS, RDS, EC2, or hybrid solutions). Additionally, they will have proficiency in T-SQL development, performance tuning, and query optimization.

About the Role:
  • Design and implement high-performance databases using SQL Server 2022.
  • Migrate databases to AWS (RDS, EC2, or other services) with minimal downtime.
  • Lead and execute SQL Server upgrade projects, including migration from legacy versions.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, including runbooks and standard operating procedures.
  • Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams to ensure database reliability and efficiency.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience as a SQL Server DBA in enterprise environments.
  • Proven experience upgrading SQL Server to 2022 in production environments.
  • Strong knowledge of Always On Availability Groups and other HA/DR solutions.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS database migration (DMS, RDS, EC2, or hybrid solutions).
  • Proficiency in T-SQL development, performance tuning, and query optimization.
