Project Manager & Senior Technical Lead

This is an opportunity to join a high-performing design team as a senior technical lead and project manager. The role will involve taking a leading part in the engineering consultancy design process, focused on production and liaison with the team. As a senior member of the team, you will be responsible for mentoring and coaching junior members.

  1. Prepare feasibility study reports and review them with the relevant stakeholders.
  2. Agree and monitor the scope of works with the project team.
  3. Clearly define building requirements and purpose of use with the team to allow detailed design.
  4. Carry out detailed design and review it with the team.
  5. Review and monitor the production of calculations, including QA and technical reviews.
  6. Ensure that information for project costing preparation is completed in detail and to deadlines.
  7. Provide documentary information to assist in the preparation of tender documents.
  8. Co-ordinate project contracts documents and reviews input from team members.
  9. Deal with day-to-day queries from the team, ensuring that relevant information is available on time for construction activity.
  10. Report any variance between the works constructed and the design intent.
  11. Project manage commissions using applicable project management tools.
  12. Lead the design process and encourage the rest of the team to deliver cost-effective solutions.
Technical Competence
  • Raise the level of technical competence within the teams.
  • Implement delivery and quality measurement processes.
  • Promote technical excellence in all projects.
  • Undertake technical reviews and contribute to concept design.
  • Develop positive professional relationships with the project team.
Mandatory Skills
  • The applicant must have significant experience in the design of building services and a proven track record.
  • They must also be conversant with technical software such as Hevacomp, Amtec and Dialux.
Desired Skills
  • A sound understanding of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Project is essential.
  • Fluency in English with excellent understanding of technical terminology is required.
Qualifications
  • B.Tech / M.Tech (Electrical) qualification is necessary.
  • Minimum 13+ years of experience in a similar role is required.
