Job Overview

The Director of Product Marketing at Ohmium will lead the development and execution of strategic marketing initiatives to effectively position our electrolyzer products in the market. This role is responsible for product positioning and messaging to drive success in the market, overseeing product launches and marketing campaigns, and collaborating with internal teams and external agencies to create compelling materials and equip the sales team with necessary tools and knowledge.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Strategic Marketing Planning: Develop and implement a comprehensive product marketing strategy to position Ohmium's electrolyzer products effectively, defining target applications and markets, identifying key accounts and projects, and crafting product positioning and messaging.
  2. Market and Competitive Research: Conduct thorough research to understand customer pain points and needs across different regions and market segments, analyzing competitive dynamics, including product offerings and market positioning.
  3. Product Market Evolution: Utilize research insights to evaluate and refine Ohmium's product positioning and marketing tactics, ensuring alignment with market trends and customer requirements.
  4. Product Launches and Campaigns: Lead the planning and execution of product launches and marketing campaigns, collaborating with marketing, sales, and external agencies to create compelling launch materials and ensure successful product introductions.
  5. Collateral and Content Development: Develop and oversee the creation of marketing materials, including brochures, datasheets, sales presentations, technical specifications, and case studies, ensuring all content is accurate and tailored to customer needs.
  6. Sales Enablement: Equip the sales team with essential knowledge and tools to effectively market and sell Ohmium's products, developing training materials, conducting competitive product analyses, and sharing customer insights.
  7. Performance Metrics: Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track market feedback and the effectiveness of product marketing strategies, using this data to make informed decisions and continuously improve marketing efforts.

Education and Skills Required:

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Marketing, Management or equivalent

- Master's degree or MBA preferred

- 10+ years of experience in Product Marketing Manager working on technically complex platforms

- Experience working directly with R&D/Engineering, Marketing and Sales teams required

- Experience with product development lifecycle preferred

- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with ability to use data and metrics for making assumptions and decisions required

- Cross-organizational relationship builder preferred

- Previous experience in the renewable energy sector a plus

Estimated Salary Range: $120,000 - $180,000 per annum
