Business Development Manager Position Overview

As a key member of our SynapseCo team, the ideal candidate will lead our sales efforts through Upwork and other freelance platforms, leveraging their expertise to drive revenue growth and build strong client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales Strategy Development: Develop and execute effective business development strategies to drive growth and revenue on Upwork and other relevant platforms.
  • Client Acquisition & Relationship Management: Identify and engage potential clients on Upwork, maintaining a consistent pipeline of leads and nurturing long-term client relationships.
  • Upwork Profile Management: Oversee and optimize the company's Upwork profile to maximize visibility and ensure top-ranking bids.
  • Proposal Writing & Bidding: Lead the proposal creation process, ensuring high-quality submissions tailored to client needs, and manage bidding strategies to secure profitable projects.
  • Team Leadership: Build and manage a high-performing sales team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to drive individual and team performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field is required.
  • Minimum of 8 years of sales management experience.
  • Proven track record of at least 5 years in achieving significant revenue generation through Upwork or similar platforms.

Preferred Skills

  • Extensive experience in profile optimization, bidding, proposal writing, and client management on Upwork.
  • Strong ability to lead, mentor, and motivate a sales team towards success.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated success in negotiating and closing deals with clients.
