Job Overview:

Critical Merchant Acquisitions Expert

This position entails scrutinizing transactions processed at acquired merchants through multiple channels, identifying and preventing fraudulent activity, and verifying documentation. The successful candidate will collaborate with internal stakeholders on observed fraud patterns, developing rules for merchant monitoring.

The ideal candidate possesses 3+ years' experience in fraud analysis, a solid understanding of merchant acquiring, payment aggregation, and UPI fraud, as well as proficiency in MS Excel and SQL coding. A background in engineering or statistics is beneficial.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Inspect merchant transactions across all channels
  • Detect suspicious merchant behavior
  • Verify documents received from merchants during escalations or detection
  • Communicate with stakeholders on observed fraud patterns
  • Create guidelines for merchant monitoring based on observed patterns
  • Stay informed on industry fraud trends to prevent merchant fraud
  • Prepare performance reports for stakeholders
  • Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in fraud analysis
  • In-depth understanding of merchant acquiring, payment aggregation, and UPI fraud
  • Proficiency in MS Excel (filters, pivot tables, charts, lookup functions)
  • Coding skills in SQL are a plus
  • Educational background in Engineering, Statistics, or Econometrics is desirable
