Financial Reporting Specialist Role

We are seeking a skilled Financial Reporting Specialist to join our team. As a key member of the finance department, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely recognition of revenue in compliance with accounting standards.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience in revenue accounting or revenue recognition, preferably in a professional services firm. They should possess a strong understanding of ASC 606 / IFRS 15 and be able to apply this knowledge in complex contract scenarios.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage end-to-end revenue accounting processes, including reviewing customer contracts and agreements to determine appropriate revenue treatment.
  • Collaborate with sales, legal, and FP&A teams to assess deal structures and ensure alignment with revenue recognition policies.
  • Analyze deferred revenue, billing schedules, and revenue forecasts to support financial reporting and audit readiness.
  • Prepare and maintain revenue schedules, journal entries, and reconciliations for month-end and quarter-end close.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • CPA or CA qualification
  • 3+ years of experience in revenue accounting or revenue recognition
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) and revenue sub-ledgers or modules
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, reconciliations); experience with BI tools like Power BI or Tableau is a plus
