Job Title

A Project Engineer position has become available in our organization.

Job Responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day technical and engineering activities of crane EPC projects, overseeing all aspects from design to completion.
  • Review client specifications, technical documents, and project scope to ensure that they align with the company's design standards.
  • Coordinate with internal design teams for layout, GA drawings, and structural requirements.
  • Collaborate with procurement and vendors for timely delivery of materials and equipment, ensuring seamless project execution.
  • Supervise fabrication, erection, installation, and testing of cranes on site, guaranteeing high-quality results.

Planning & Coordination
  • Prepare and track project schedules using MS Project or equivalent tools, ensuring timely completion of milestones.
  • Interface with internal departments – design, procurement, quality, and site teams – to align with project objectives.
  • Conduct regular progress reviews and generate project status reports, providing transparency and visibility into project progress.

Client & Vendor Communication
  • Attend technical meetings, site coordination meetings, and client reviews, fostering effective communication and collaboration.
  • Manage subcontractors and ensure that all site activities adhere to safety and quality standards.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through effective communication and resolution of technical issues, building strong relationships with clients.

Documentation & Handover
  • Prepare and manage project documentation: ITPs, FAT/SAT reports, commissioning checklists, etc., ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Support handover and closure activities post-commissioning, guaranteeing smooth transition of projects.
  • Assist in as-built drawings and final documentation submission, providing accurate records of project deliverables.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree / Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical / Structural Engineering, with a strong foundation in relevant disciplines.
  • PMP certification (optional but advantageous), demonstrating expertise in project management.

Experience
  • 3–8 years in handling projects related to cranes, hoisting systems, or material handling equipment, with a proven track record of success.
  • Experience in industrial, steel plants, power, ports, or infrastructure projects is preferred, with a strong understanding of complex project environments.

Key Skills
  • Knowledge of EOT/Gantry/Jib/Tower crane structures and components, including design principles and operational requirements.
  • Familiarity with industry standards like IS, DIN, FEM, CMAA, IEC, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Project, and MS Office, leveraging technology to streamline project workflows.
  • Understanding of load testing, commissioning, and safety protocols, prioritizing worker safety and well-being.
  • Strong coordination and communication abilities, fostering effective teamwork and collaboration.
  • Willingness to travel and work at project sites as required, demonstrating adaptability and flexibility.
