Culinary Excellence Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef Assistant to join our team on board. As a key member of the Food and Beverage department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of culinary excellence are maintained at all times.

Job Responsibilities:
  1. Direct, coach, support, supervise, and evaluate kitchen staff under your supervision.
  2. Maintain excellent food knowledge and understanding of culinary terms.
  3. Read, understand, follow, and prepare company recipes while ensuring quality and consistency in taste.
  4. Work efficiently and productively, completing tasks as required.
  5. Coordinate and supervise team members assigned to their section, delegating tasks accordingly.
  6. Undertake daily recipe reviews and maintain recipe folders in immaculate condition.
  7. Follow through on requests from direct supervisors or managers on duty.
  8. Control production levels and recommend ideas for improvements and better cost controlling.
  9. Prepare daily electronic food requisitions and countercheck deliveries for accuracy.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in upscale hotels, resorts, cruise ships, or convention banqueting services, with at least 2 years as an Executive Chef Assistant.
  • Culinary school degree required.
  • Strong management skills in multicultural and dynamic environments.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, decision-making, and interpersonal skills.
  • Superior customer service, teambuilding, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing personalized services.
  • Strong planning, coaching, organizing, staffing, controlling, and evaluating skills.
  • Intermediate computer software skills required.
  • Familiarity with basic accounting principles.
