Citrix Virtual Desktop Architect

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Citrix Virtual Desktop Architect to design, implement, and maintain Citrix technologies.

About the Role:

This is an exceptional opportunity for a technical expert to join our team and lead the development of innovative virtual desktop solutions using Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, Citrix ADC, and Citrix Cloud.

Responsibilities:

  • Design end-to-end virtual desktop solutions by analyzing business requirements, assessing existing infrastructure, and designing scalable, secure, and high-performance architectures.
  • Integrate Citrix products with Azure Virtual Desktop Services to provide comprehensive and cohesive virtual desktop solutions.
  • Configure and manage Azure virtual machines, session hosts, virtual networks, and storage to create and maintain Azure virtual desktop environments.
  • Design and implement identity and access management strategies, including integration with Azure Active Directory, multifactor authentication, and role-based access controls.
  • Design and configure network connectivity between on-premises infrastructure and Azure, including network security measures such as firewalls, VPNs, and load balancers.
  • Optimize virtual desktop environments for performance, scalability, and user experience by monitoring and tuning resource allocation, load balancing, and network bandwidth.
  • Implement security measures, including data encryption, access controls, and compliance requirements to protect virtual desktop environments.
  • Design and implement high availability and disaster recovery solutions to minimize downtime and data loss.
  • Set up monitoring tools and processes to proactively monitor the virtual desktop infrastructure and troubleshoot performance issues, system errors, and network connectivity problems.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Several years of experience as a Citrix Architect or similar role, designing and implementing virtual desktop solutions using Citrix technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of Azure virtual desktop services, including Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Active Directory, and virtual networks.
  • Proficiency in Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, Citrix ADC, and Citrix Cloud.
  • Experience in network design, including connectivity options, firewalls, VPNs, and load balancers.
  • Familiarity with identity and access management concepts, including Azure Active Directory, multifactor authentication, and role-based access controls.
  • Understanding of performance optimization techniques, monitoring tools, and troubleshooting methodologies.
  • Knowledge of security best practices, data encryption, access controls, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience in designing high availability and disaster recovery solutions for virtual desktop environments.
  • Excellent documentation and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Certifications in Citrix and Azure technologies are a plus.
