We aim to bridge the gap between young Indians who are increasingly disconnected due to urbanization and spending more time online.
Our platform is designed to help them reconnect in real life: through reading, debating, brainstorming, flirting, volunteering, running, playing games, or finding genuine community in any way they like.
The format will evolve over time, but our mission remains clear: to foster meaningful connections among young Indians offline.
Your Role:
You will lead our financial strategy, fundraising, and operational scale-up as Co-Founder of Finance and Operations. Your goal will be to ensure we have the necessary resources, systems, and processes to grow sustainably from Day 1.
Main Responsibilities:
- Develop and Manage Financial Models: Create and maintain our financial models (unit economics, CAC/LTV, marketplace liquidity).
- Lead Fundraising Efforts: Prepare investor materials, pitch decks, and financial modeling for successful fundraising.
- Create Robust Financial Systems: Design and implement accounting, compliance, reporting, unit economics, and CAC/LTV analysis.
- Oversee Compliance and Accounting: Ensure timely compliance and accurate accounting.
- Design Marketplace Operations Playbook: Establish operational processes for venue partnerships, equipment rentals, and event logistics.
- Balance Marketplace Liquidity: Ensure enough hosts and events meet attendee demand.
- Build Trust and Safety Operations: Develop dispute resolution, refunds, and community guidelines.
- Oversee Legal and Compliance Frameworks: Manage contracts, NDAs, corporate structure, and MCA compliance.
- Forge Strategic Partnerships: Partner with venues, service providers, and student organizations.
- Develop KPI Dashboards: Track event volume, ticket sales, host retention, and repeat attendance.
- Hire and Manage Community Managers: Grow your team by hiring and managing community managers and operational staff.
Requirements:
- A strong background in finance, consulting, or startup operations.
- Prior experience in marketplaces or consumer platforms is beneficial.
- Ability to manage logistics, partnerships, and customer support.
- A strategic thinker who can also execute effectively in early stages.
- Passion for building communities and scaling people-first businesses.
