Product Development Lead

Our team seeks an experienced Product Development Lead to drive the development of new products and optimize existing formulations for regulated markets.

About the Role:

We are looking for a highly skilled professional who can lead on the execution of new formulations, investigate API characteristics, and conduct scale-up studies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Understand project scope, define activities and timelines, and ensure timely completion.
  • API Characterization: Investigate API characteristics, define material characteristics, perform testing, and conduct scale-up studies.
  • Resource Planning: Identify resource requirements and assimilate literature information.
  • R&D Planning: Develop R&D plans and experimental designs using QBD principles.
  • Lab Coordination: Plan and coordinate lab-scale up/optimization and pilot batches.
  • Tech Transfer: Review lab experiment notebooks and technology transfer documents.
  • Liaison Role: Liaise with technology transfer and production teams.
  • Performance Optimization: Optimize product performance by researching viability, safety, and compatibility.
  • Stability Studies: Evaluate stability study results and advance product development accordingly.
  • Communication: Communicate with various departments to ensure timely project completion.
  • Documentation: Prepare departmental SOPs, manuals, and guidelines.
  • Maintenance: Maintain equipment and instruments.
  • Training: Ensure proper training of subordinates and technicians.
  • Inventory Management: Manage raw materials and finished goods storage and destruction.
  • Audit Support: Participate in departmental audits and ensure compliance.
