Project Engineer Electrical Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Project Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, with experience in handling design, procurement, and project management of industrial projects.

The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. They will be responsible for developing electrical designs, tender packages, and managing execution of on-site works as per project requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing electrical designs, tender packages, and managing execution of on-site works
  • Designing electrical control panels, MCC, PCC, DB, and other electrical systems
  • Compiling bill of materials and technical specifications for package tenders
  • Reviewing and verifying multidisciplinary drawings, reports, and documents
  • Collecting input from other disciplines and incorporating relevant inputs into drawings
  • Tender document compilation, pre-qualification checks, and tender lead
  • Technical bid evaluation, pre & post bid meetings, and bidder rating
  • Reviewing and approving submittals received from contractors
  • Coordinating with multiple agencies on project sites and aligning them to achieve seamless execution
  • Developing project schedules, tracking progress, and identifying possible delays
  • Developing Quality Assurance Plans, implementing strategies, and procedures
  • Delay recovery plans, material receipt, and quality control
  • Tracking project timelines, quality, cost, changes/variations, and Management of Change procedures
  • Certifying contractually acceptable quantities executed by contractors for invoicing
  • Proactively sharing observations to avoid rework and destructions in work execution
  • Organizing/attending stage reviews/project progress review meetings
  • Reviewing on-site project progress and quality compliances
  • Visiting other sites to collect site measurements and develop As-built drawings
  • Getting involved in proposal development and deriving project costs
  • Leading and spreading positivity in handling challenging situations and project demands
  • Attending training programs, seminars, and promotional events to upgrade knowledge
  • Upgrading skills to next level and improving continuously
  • Participating in project safety activities

Requirements:

  • Graduate/Masters in Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum 8 years (for B.E) to 6 Years of experience (for M.E)
  • Design software – Autocad, Brics Cad, DIALux, ETAP, Revit (added advantage), other relevant Computer proficiency
