Electrical Design Manager Job Description

The role of an Electrical Design Manager is to oversee and lead electrical design projects from conceptualization to completion. This involves planning, executing, and managing projects efficiently, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute electrical design projects for clients, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budget.
  • Design product solutions based on customer requirements for DC SMPS based Power Systems, UPS Panels, and Distribution Panels.
  • Provide technical support to internal and external customers, including project planning, execution, and management.
  • Prepare design documents, including BOMs, GA drawings, and electrical drawings.
  • Review engineering drawings and design calculations to ensure compliance with technical specifications and relevant engineering standards.
  • Optimize BOM costs and provide quality engineering documentation.
  • Plan and execute projects for process improvements and new products.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in electrical power system design and electro-mechanical designing of electrical panels and UPS panels.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD for SLD and wiring diagrams, as well as electrical switchgear, cables, bus-bar sizing, mechanical designing, wire harness, product quality, and safety norms.
  • Project management skills, including cost/schedule/resource planning and control, project deliverables coordination, project quality assurance, and project MIS reporting.
