  • The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a designated station within the pastry galley, utilizing their skills and knowledge to perform various tasks efficiently.
  • Key responsibilities include overseeing certain aspects of pastry and dessert production, ensuring high-quality products are consistently delivered to meet customer expectations.
  • Additional duties include setting up visually appealing pastry displays on buffets as needed and assisting with food transportation from main stores to the pastry galley.
  • Cleanliness and sanitation are paramount; therefore, it is essential to adhere to strict USPH rules and regulations when maintaining working areas and utensils.
  • As a key member of the culinary team, the Pastry Cook will provide excellent support to guests and crew members alike by offering helpful information about shipboard operations.
  • Attending regular meetings, training sessions, and courses is also an integral part of this role.
  • Additional duties may be assigned by the supervisor or management, further enhancing the candidate's professional growth and development.

Requirements:

  • Minimum two years' experience as a Pastry Cook in an upscale hotel, resort, cruise ship, or convention banqueting service (shipboard experience highly preferred).
  • In-depth knowledge of proper cleaning techniques, equipment usage, and industry-specific requirements.
