
Administrative Compliance Officer

This is a fantastic opportunity to join our team as a Compliance Administrator. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the effective coordination and maintenance of compliance activities across the institution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide essential administrative support to the Compliance Function, ensuring timely submission of statutory returns or compliance actions.
- Maintain accurate records of data processing activities, data breaches and near misses, subject rights requests, policy reviews and updates, and other relevant documentation.
- Support handling of Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs) requests, ensure all records of consent, privacy notices, and data processing agreements are properly archived and accessible, and log and escalate privacy concerns to the Compliance Head as appropriate.
- Collate documentation and evidence for internal and external audits or inspections, generate monthly and quarterly compliance status reports and dashboards for internal use, and monitor and report on completion rates of mandatory compliance training.
- Coordinate with departments such as IT, Registry, HR, Academic Governance, and Marketing to gather compliance inputs, work with the IT team to support the Head of Compliance in tracking cybersecurity compliance measures, and support communication of new policies, updates, or alerts across departments.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- 3–5 years of experience in an administrative or compliance support role.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and record-keeping.
- Strong written and verbal communication.
- Familiarity with data protection principles under UK GDPR.
- Competent in using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
- Understanding of cybersecurity risks and controls, including the importance of breach notification procedures and secure data handling.
