Job Title: Technical IT Support Specialist

The role of a Technical IT Support Specialist plays a vital part in maintaining business continuity by providing comprehensive technical support across the entire IT infrastructure, encompassing end-user assistance, networking, servers, and systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • End-User Assistance: Provide technical support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and enterprise applications to ensure seamless system access and troubleshoot network connectivity issues.
  • IT Infrastructure Maintenance: Monitor and maintain the organization's IT infrastructure (servers, storage, networks), adopting a proactive approach to service management and minimizing downtime.
  • User Requests and Incidents: Manage user requests and incidents via the IT helpdesk/ticketing system, utilizing analytical skills and customer service expertise to resolve issues efficiently.
  • Security and Access Control: Administer user accounts, email systems, and security groups in Active Directory/Office 365, ensuring secure and efficient access control.
  • Collaboration and Projects: Assist in IT projects (cloud migration, system upgrades, security enhancements) and collaborate with vendors and external providers for IT services and escalations, promoting effective communication and teamwork.
Mandatory Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience and Knowledge: 1–3 years of experience in IT support/infrastructure with a strong foundation in IT systems and technologies.
  • Technical Expertise: Proficiency in Windows/Linux servers, virtualization, and cloud platforms, highlighting knowledge of multiple operating systems and deployment models.
  • Networking and Architecture: A solid understanding of networking (LAN/WAN, DNS, DHCP), emphasizing expertise in network architecture and configuration.
  • Critical Thinking and Communication: Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and customer service skills, demonstrating the ability to work effectively with stakeholders and resolve complex issues.
