Job Title: Business Development Manager
The role of the Business Development Manager is to drive business growth through effective team management, market penetration, and geographic expansion. The ideal candidate will possess excellent sales skills, relationship management abilities, and a basic understanding of microfinance business models.
Key Responsibilities:
- To achieve disbursement targets with minimal delinquency by identifying joint liability groups and disbursing loans that suit target customers and geographies.
- To enable business growth by developing and managing teams across assigned territories for deeper market penetration and reach.
- To assess potential client bases and product acceptability in new regions, areas, and opportunities for geographical expansion of operational areas.
- To manage disbursements, repayments, and delinquencies, achieving daily/weekly collections targets.
- To make close follow-ups of disbursed loans, especially those not paying on time.
- To undertake regular field visits, center meetings, and loan applicants.
- To maintain portfolio quality by tracking and controlling normal dues, nonstarters, delinquencies, and frauds.
- To build strong client relationships both internally and externally and establish a strong brand identity with potential customers.
- To ensure weekly/daily meetings and visits to centers.
- Fresher to maximum 5 years' experience as a sales officer in microfinance business.
