Job Title:

A Plant Manager Role

The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of the plant and machinery industry, enabling them to make informed strategic decisions. As a central figure, they will work closely with multiple teams, overseeing specific personnel.

Responsibilities:

  • Erecting, dismantling, maintaining, and operating Luffing Jib tower cranes, passenger hoists, placer booms, etc.
  • Methodology of equipment erection, operation, and preparation of checklists.
  • Controlling spare parts inventory and cost optimization, sourcing plant & machinery operators, mechanics, etc.
  • Generating local management information systems for Mechanical Heads at Head Offices/Project In charge.
  • Maintaining site records of equipment, including log books, preventive maintenance records, and upkeep.
  • Estimating budgets for spares and running expenses for each machine and monitoring monthly performance.
  • Training personnel on safe equipment usage, repairs, servicing, and record-keeping.
  • Ensuring optimal use of plant and machinery corresponding to rated productivity output.
  • Achieving minimum equipment breakdown and maximum availability at sites.
  • Creating service schedules based on hours/Kms running and implementing them strictly.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) Organized skills.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in plant and machinery departments.
