Business Development Manager: Working Capital and Channel Growth

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to lead our working capital and channel growth initiatives. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, and driving revenue growth.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Acquire new clients through our DSA channel network and develop strategies to expand existing relationships
  2. Manage and empanel new channel partners to grow our working capital business
  3. Cross-sell CASA products to group companies and existing/NTB clients
  4. Grow CASA business through effective relationship management and sales efforts
  5. Cross-sell other asset products and investment products to clients
  6. Regularly interact with DSAs to generate business for MIB and update leads
  7. Prepare and resolve customer queries related to CAMs and disbursements
  8. Coordinate with credit teams for CAM approval, deferral closure/waiver, and other requirements
  9. Work with Local Ops to ensure smooth disbursement of cases, limit setups, and other transactions
  10. Daily customer servicing and branch coordination
  11. Manage housekeeping activities including CAM renewals, deferral closure, stock statements, insurance renewals, plant and office visits
  12. Sourcing current accounts and dealing in various trade and treasury products, bill discounting, bank guarantee, letter of credit, cash credit/overdraft
  13. Track performance of accounts and overall portfolio
  14. Aquire, grow, and manage client acquisition of business banking SME
  15. Deliver month-on-month targets on business banking SME loan disbursal, fund-based, and non-fund-based processing fee
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in business development and sales
  • Proven track record of success in acquiring new clients and growing existing relationships
  • Strong understanding of working capital and channel growth strategies
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
