IT Procurement Manager Role

We are seeking a highly experienced IT procurement professional to join our organization. This is an exciting opportunity to drive commercial and contractual aspects within the IT spend category.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing end-to-end procurement processes, developing and maintaining successful relationships with suppliers, peers, and internal business partners.

  • Manage commercial and procurement aspects within all IT categories including hardware, software, outsourcing services, cloud, and SAAS.
  • Ensure proper spend categorization.
  • Lead strategic and tactical projects, apply sourcing approaches, draft detailed statements of work covering performance measures, SLAs, acceptance criteria, commercials, risk/reward provisions.
  • Manage senior stakeholders and establish relationships.
  • Advise internal business partners on procurement processes, policies, templates, RACI, deal risks, and possible mitigation steps.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable sourcing processes and policies.
  • Execute RFP/RFQ processes for assigned categories including contract negotiation, vendor selection, contract awarding.
  • Define and implement plans in line with category strategy, decision trees, playbooks.
  • Consolidate supplier base and pursue alternative sources ensuring uninterrupted supply of services.
  • Conduct periodic market research for assigned categories, monitor market trends and supply/demand factors.
  • Answer contract inquiries on existing contracts.
  • Establish regular communications with key internal business partners to ensure agreement and adoption of category strategies.
Key Qualifications
  • Minimum 8 to 12 years of experience in sourcing or procurement.
  • Significant experience of procurement/sourcing and contracting for cloud services.
  • Understanding of category cost structures.
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Experience of electronic procurement tools.
  • End-to-end source/procure-to-pay processes and tools.
  • Compliance and regulatory culture driving policies and procedures.
  • Risk and control culture with supplier screening programs.
  • Presentation skills using Excel pivot tables and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to extract procurement requirements from stakeholders.
  • Identify and mitigate business or contract risks.
  • Tenacious and resilient approach building relationships and navigating matrix organizations.
  • Collaborative style working across global regions and teams.
  • Proactive hands-on approach with organizational skills.
  • Excellent English communication skills required.
  • Engineering Graduate qualification.
