Job Title: Contract Specialist

This role will support business teams in drafting, vetting, and negotiating agreements related to business development, international business, trusts, and other activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Agreements: Drafting, structuring, vetting, negotiating, and finalizing agreements in line with business understanding and ensuring appropriate risk mitigation for the company.
  • Statutory Compliances: Reviewing statutory compliances at various locations and suggesting remedial measures. Working with concerned stakeholders to ensure remedial measures are put in place in a timely manner.
  • Risk Mitigation: Understanding business and analyzing risk involved and advising on mitigating liabilities for the company.
  • Advisory: Advising stakeholders from time to time on various issues.

Qualifications:

  • Licence: LL.B./LL.M.
  • Skills: Drafting, vetting, and negotiating various kinds of agreements within India and cross-border. Exposure to statutory compliances, litigation, and intellectual property law would be advantageous. Strong negotiation skills and business and financial acumen. Strong communications and drafting skills, including ability to draft high-quality agreements and other documents. Well-versed in how business operates in a high degree of professional ethics, integrity, and gravitas. Ability to have influence across all levels of the business including peers and senior management, and able to work independently. Detail-oriented, having good judgement and sound risk-mitigating skills.
  • Attributes: Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Excellent judgement and analytical skills.
