Key Financial Manager Position

The position of Key Financial Manager is a critical role within the organization, responsible for preparing, analyzing, and disseminating financial and operational information for various funds.

Job Responsibilities:
  1. Prepare and analyze financial and operational information for the firm's various funds. This includes reviewing capital call and distribution processes, journal entries, and investor allocation.
  2. Manage capital call and distribution processes, including recording receipt of cash collections related to capital activity.
  3. Collect and analyze financial data from various sources and prepare periodic reports for investors and stakeholders.
  4. Calculate fund performance and financial position by utilizing relevant financial metrics and ratios.
  5. Ensure reports are accurate, complete, and in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  6. Create journal entries for quarterly activity within Investran.
  7. Review and maintain data for NAV, commitment & uncalled commitment at the investor level.
  8. Extract trial balance and general ledgers for Geneva close packages for month-end close.
  9. Prepare distribution journal entries based on the distribution tracker and record within accounting system.
  10. Preparation of quarterly estimates for portfolio performance by analyzing financial trends and forecasts.
  11. Review, format and upload monthly fund close entries impacting assets, liabilities, income and expenses extracted from portfolio tracking system to accounting system.
  12. Prepare regulatory filings (i.e. Form PF, ADV, CIMA FAR) for specific credit fund entities by ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  13. Prepare quarterly and annual financials in accordance with US GAAP and/or IFRS by applying financial principles and concepts.
Requirements:
  • Accounting certification such as Chartered Accountant / CPA / ACCA is highly desired.
  • 5 plus years of experience in fund reporting, accounting and control is necessary.
  • Knowledge of fund accounting principles and the ability to maintain accurate and complete capital account records is essential.
  • Experience in preparing regular financial reports for credit funds, including NAV, performance reports, and presentations is required.
  • Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations and the ability to ensure compliance with all relevant requirements is crucial.
  • Ability to perform complex financial analysis and demonstrate strong analytical skills is vital.
  • Proficiency in financial reporting software and systems, such as Investran, is necessary.
  • Ability to manage large amounts of data accurately and efficiently is essential.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment is required.
  • Systems/ Tools/ Application knowledge:
  • Knowledge of Geneva and Investran is necessary.
  • Highly proficient in MS Excel is essential.
