Job Title: Ecommerce Developer Specialist

Overview: A skilled ecommerce developer is needed to join our team of experts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in developing and maintaining online shopping platforms using Magento. Responsibilities include designing, coding, testing, and deploying custom ecommerce solutions that meet client needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, customize, and maintain Magento-based ecommerce websites ensuring high performance, scalability, and security.
  • Create and customize Magento themes and templates to match the brand's aesthetic and user experience requirements.
  • Build and integrate custom Magento extensions and modules to extend the platform's functionality.
  • Manage and optimize Magento databases to ensure efficient data retrieval and storage.
  • Identify and address performance bottlenecks, code inefficiencies, and other issues to improve website speed and user experience.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues, bugs, and errors on the Magento platform.
  • Integrate third-party systems, payment gateways, shipping providers, and other APIs with Magento.
  • Keep the Magento platform and extensions up to date by applying patches and performing version upgrades.
  • Implement security best practices to safeguard customer data and protect against potential threats.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for code, configurations, and customizations.
  • Work closely with front-end developers, designers, project managers, and stakeholders to ensure alignment with project goals and requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 4 to 18 years of experience in Magento development (Magento 2 experience preferred).
  • Strong proficiency in PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and MySQL.
  • Experience with Magento architecture, modules, themes, and extensions.
  • Knowledge of web services integration (REST/SOAP).
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Understanding of front-end technologies and responsive design principles.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
