Infrastructure Projects Design Expert

As a skilled structural design professional, you will be responsible for providing engineering inputs for social infrastructure projects such as schools, hospitals, community centers, sanitation facilities, water supply structures, etc.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and finalise structural designs, drawings, and detailed estimates to ensure optimal project outcomes.
  • Conduct thorough structural analysis and ensure compliance with IS codes, NBC, and applicable international standards.
  • Collaborate with architects, civil engineers, and other specialists to deliver integrated design solutions.
  • Assess foundation design, load calculations, earthquake-resistant design, and durability aspects to guarantee project success.
  • Prepare design basis reports, structural BOQs, and cost estimates to facilitate informed decision-making.
  • Review DPR deliverables (draft and final reports) from a structural perspective to ensure quality and accuracy.
  • Provide technical guidance to project teams and support capacity building to enhance team performance.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong expertise in structural engineering design for buildings and social infrastructure projects.
  • Proficiency in structural design software (STAAD Pro, ETABS, SAFE, SAP2000, AutoCAD).
  • Knowledge of IS codes, IRC standards, and international guidelines.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and communicate effectively.
  • Strong documentation, reporting, and problem-solving skills to drive project success.

Preferred Background:

  • Prior experience in DPR preparation for social infrastructure projects.
  • Experience in both government and donor-funded assignments.
  • Familiarity with sustainable and disaster-resilient design practices.
