Deputy General Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy General Manager to lead our end-to-end bid management process.

  • This role requires proficiency across the entire tendering lifecycle for government clients and public sector undertakings.
  • The ideal candidate will have excellent professional relations with clients, as well as coordination with central functions for bid compliance.
  • Maintaining relationships with external parties and ensuring seamless execution of bidding jobs is also essential.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  1. End-to-end Bid Management/Tendering for Govt. clients/PSUs including technical write-up & cost estimation, subcontracting, JVs, consortium, client liaisoning, and project management.
  2. Identification of relevant tenders from PSUs, Govt. Agencies, and private companies through various resources.
  3. Well-versed with bidding process at government/GEM portals.
  4. Liaisoning and day-to-day correspondence along with legal contractual correspondences with customers.
  5. Generation of relevant MIS reports/tender tracking updates.
  6. Achieving of order booking target from Tenders.
  7. Maintaining documentation and correspondence of BD activities and updating of credentials on regular basis.
  8. Business Sales Forecasting.
  9. Ensuring new empanelment and renewal of existing one with PSU and other agencies.
Requirements

To excel in this role, you must possess:

  • Strategic and analytical ability.
  • Good writing and calculation skills.

Prior experience in Oil and Gas, Energy, or related industries is an advantage.

Qualifications

We require a candidate with:

  • B.Tech Elect/Mech +10 years of experience in bidding/Tendering; overall 10-15 years of experience.
  • MBA preferred.
