Database Management Expert

We are seeking an experienced database management professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills and experience in managing and supporting MS SQL Database.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring of generated log files for errors indicating potential incidents
  • Database availability monitoring and maintenance
  • Log replication monitoring and reporting
  • Session/Query/Log/Latch monitoring and troubleshooting
  • Fault tolerance and proactive issue resolution
  • Purging database logs and trace files
  • Config review to maintain consistent configurations
  • Review and recommendation for maintaining database availability
  • Monthly report on database performance and availability
  • Troubleshooting DB performance issues
  • Database restoration and recovery
  • Supporting the DB team for critical issue handling
  • Automation of administration tasks where possible
  • Management and update of all Database environment documentation
  • SQL patch compliance and hardening best practices

Required Skills & Knowledge:

  • Team leadership and management experience
  • Handling major incident response and RCA (Root Cause Analysis)
  • Database installation, configuration, and troubleshooting
  • Always ON Cluster configuration and management
  • Failover Cluster management and configuration
  • Replication and link server setup and maintenance
  • Database patching and hardening
  • Job scheduling and maintenance planning
  • Prepared POA (Plan of Action) and rollback plan for database migration
  • Project planning and execution for new database-related projects
