Oracle Database Administrator Role

We seek a seasoned Oracle Database Administrator to join our team. As a pivotal member of our infrastructure, you will ensure optimal database performance, security, and scalability.

The ideal candidate will possess 6-8 years of hands-on experience as an Oracle DBA, with emphasis on Application DBA responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Performance Optimization & Tuning: Analyze and resolve database bottlenecks affecting application/API performance.
  • Application & Middleware Integration Support: Work with API Gateway and custom orchestration teams to optimize database interaction patterns.
  • On-Premise & Cloud Integration: Manage data synchronization between on-prem Oracle and Fusion Cloud Oracle DB via OIC (Oracle Integration Cloud).

To succeed in this role, you will require strong expertise in Oracle 12c/19c performance tuning, indexing, partitioning, optimizer hints, and experience supporting web applications, API-driven architectures, or middleware platforms.

Our ideal candidate will also have knowledge of high availability, scalability, and SLA management for mission-critical applications, solid understanding of database security, auditing, and user access controls.

Excellent communication skills to interact with application developers, architects, and operations teams are essential.

Preferred/Bonus Skills: Exposure to Oracle GoldenGate or other replication tools, Experience with API Gateway products, Knowledge of containerization and DevOps pipelines for DB changes, Familiarity with monitoring tools.
