Database Engineer

An expert in database management will design, implement, and maintain databases that meet the needs of clients. Proficiency in database management systems, data modeling, and query optimization ensures scalability, security, and performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement databases using RDBMS such as MySQL and Oracle SQL
  • Develop and maintain stored procedures, functions, and triggers to improve database performance
  • Ensure data integrity by creating and executing test cases based on business and technical requirements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve database-related issues
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in ETL testing, database testing, and manual testing
  • Strong understanding of ETL concepts and data warehouse testing methodologies
  • Proficient in writing test automation scripts for data pipelines
  • Experience with AWS services such as CloudWatch, EventBridge, QuickSight, Batch Jobs, Lambda, S3, Redshift, Glue
Additional Skills:
  • Advanced SQL skills: joins, group functions, analytical functions, subqueries
  • UNIX commands (grep, awk, find) for log analysis and job monitoring
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills to collaborate effectively
Nice to Have:
  • Experience automating data testing using AI/ML tools
  • CI/CD pipeline integration for test automation
