Job Title

We are seeking an accomplished Senior Database Administrator with expertise in Oracle Exadata to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining high-availability Oracle Exadata systems, ensuring seamless performance and availability.

This is a hands-on position requiring strong technical skills, cloud migration experience, and excellent communication abilities. You will work closely with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement high-availability Oracle Exadata systems, including compute nodes, storage cells, and InfiniBand networks.
  • Manage Oracle databases on cloud infrastructure, including provisioning, patching, backup, and recovery.
  • Lead end-to-end cloud migration initiatives from on-premises to cloud environments, ensuring seamless transition and minimal downtime.
  • Monitor and tune performance using AWR, ASH, OEM, and SQL tuning tools.
  • Automate database operations using scripting languages like Shell, Python, and Ansible.
  • Collaborate with cloud architects and application teams to support hybrid and cloud-native deployments.
  • Ensure database security, compliance, and audit readiness across Exadata and cloud environments.
  • Participate in capacity planning, cloud migration strategies, and architecture reviews.
  • Provide on-call support and participate in scheduled maintenance windows.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 8 years of production database support experience.
  • Hands-on experience supporting large-scale database environments.
  • Proven experience with Oracle Exadata systems, Oracle RAC, ASM, and Grid Infrastructure.
  • Working knowledge of Oracle GoldenGate and Data Guard.
  • Experience working in UNIX, Linux, and Windows environments.
  • Public Cloud experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) required; OCI certifications preferred.
  • Experience with AWS cloud databases is a plus; AWS certifications desired.
