The role of Technical Operations Manager is to oversee the smooth functioning of site operations, ensuring efficient management of technical equipment and resources.
Key Responsibilities- Manage maintenance schedules and handover processes for technical systems, ensuring proper snagging and de-snagging.
- Organize data collection and reporting on fuel, power, and water consumption, as well as prepare MIS reports for clients.
- Supervise shifts and technicians, ensuring work is carried out to client standards and scope.
- Deploy team resources effectively and safely to achieve service levels and objectives.
- Escalate minor and major problems to the Technical Manager.
- Troubleshoot breakdowns, issue work permits, and ensure staff/vendors follow safety procedures.
- Develop cost-saving measures and energy-saving initiatives in technical operations.
- Coordinate with vendors based on equipment technical specifications.
- Upgrade machines, equipment, utilities, and processes for capacity, efficiency, and layout improvements.
- Manage contracts and vendors, including comparison, invoicing, negotiation, terms, and conditions.
- Ensure facilities meet compliance standards and government regulations.
- Provide technical training to teams and serve as a technical mentor.
- Task allocation and performance evaluation of team members.
- Meet with client teams to gather requirements.
- Conduct regular team meetings and track project progress.
- Interview candidates and hire resources.
- Estimate budgets and maintain budget vs expenses sheets.
- Prepare snag lists and rectify them on priority in coordination with the project team.
This role offers the opportunity to make quick decisions, solve technical problems, and provide an efficient environment for project implementation. You will also be responsible for identifying resource and equipment requirements, efficient capacity planning, and managing MEP services.
