Design Engineer for Material Handling

As a Design Engineer for Material Handling, you will be responsible for the design and development of material handling systems for various industries. Your expertise will encompass a wide range of equipment including belt conveyors, silos, hoppers, vibrating feeders, screens, dust extraction systems, trippers, belt feeders, belt weighers, magnetic separators, and bucket elevators.

The ideal candidate will have functional and technical knowledge of reclaimer, stackers, barge loaders, barge unloaders, truck loading/unloading stations, crushers, pneumatic conveying systems, diverters, slide gate valves, and lifting devices such as hoist and EOT cranes.

You will also be required to prepare process flow diagrams, schemes, and layouts for material handling systems in steel plants and power plants. Additionally, you will need to prepare profile drawings, calculations, and general arrangement drawings for belt conveying systems.

Key responsibilities include preparing technical specifications for material handling equipment, procuring engineering for above equipment, and ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards.

To succeed in this role, you will require excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • BE/B.Tech (Mechanical Engineering)
  • Auto-Cad & MS-Office skills
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in design engineering
