Senior Kitchen Operations Manager Job Description

This is a senior-level position responsible for overseeing kitchen operations, managing staff, and maintaining high standards of quality and safety. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in culinary arts and experience in supervising teams in fast-paced environments.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Direct and supervise kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation and presentation.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to health regulations and industry standards.
  • Develop and implement recipes, menus, and cooking methods to meet customer preferences and nutritional guidelines.
  • Monitor inventory levels, manage stockroom, and control food costs to minimize waste and optimize resources.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery, including coordination with dining room staff and event planners.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in upscale hotels or resorts, with at least 2 years as a Senior Chef.
  • Culinary school degree required; advanced certifications preferred.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage diverse teams.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a focus on delivering exceptional customer experiences.
  • Familiarity with industry-specific software, including accounting systems and inventory management tools.
