
Business Development Specialist

This role involves preparing formal bids and price information using SAP and relevant tools. It also requires making active and informed decisions on parts pricing, collaborating closely with the global factories to establish timely submission of quotations, and ensuring minimum Quote Response Time (QRT).
The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing and verifying pricing, margin, delivery time, delivery alternatives, expediting fees, and other commercial aspects of quotes and orders. They will also analyze tender requirements, identify, manage, and mitigate risks in the commercial areas, including currency risks, financial security instruments, terms of payment, insurance, export control customs, and compliance.
Additionally, this role involves participating in customer negotiations as a Subject Matter Expert, improving delivery, and non-standard Terms and Conditions. The candidate will also initiate engineering reviews as needed by client requirements, coordinate with engineering and operations to establish new drawings, drawing revisions, and the use of alternate material, and establish lead times using data provided by planners, buyers, and manufacturing personnel.
- Prepare detailed quotations and price lists.
- Ensure accurate and timely submission of quotations and orders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Proven digital literacy and experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and ERP software (Oracle, SAP etc.).
- Accuracy and attention to detail when working towards tight deadlines.
- Ability to work collaboratively and individually with the same passion and intensity.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Self-motivation to find efficient and effective ways to accomplish end goals.
