The customer relationship management (CRM) function plays a pivotal role in driving business success. A CRM manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the company's CRM system to foster stronger connections with customers, retain their loyalty, and ultimately boost revenue growth. This critical position ensures effective use of the CRM, maintains accurate data, and provides valuable insights that inform strategic decisions. To achieve these objectives, the CRM manager collaborates with various teams across the organization to align CRM campaigns, lead routing, and customer interaction strategies. One of their key responsibilities includes establishing efficient processes for capturing leads, tracking interactions, assigning leads using automation and scoring features, and nurturing them through the sales funnel.
To ensure data integrity and maintain CRM hygiene, the CRM manager must guarantee that customer and lead data remain accurate, updated, de-duplicated, and secure. They will also be responsible for monitoring CRM key performance indicators (KPIs), such as lead conversion rates, retention rates, email open rates, and customer lifetime value. Furthermore, they will provide training and support to internal users on best practices for using the CRM. The CRM manager will also develop customer journey maps and targeted campaigns using behavior tracking and scoring mechanisms. To excel in this position, candidates should possess a bachelor's degree in marketing, business, IT, or a related field. They should also have 2-4+ years of experience managing CRMs or sales operations, preferably with LeadSquared. Additionally, proficiency in CRM platforms and workflow automation, as well as excellent communication, training, and cross-team collaboration skills are highly valued.
