Plant Director - Biofuel Operations

We are seeking a seasoned executive to lead the development and operations of our biofuel facility in India. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in managing complex projects and teams, ensuring seamless commissioning and start-up of our plant.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations, including utilities readiness, pre-start checks, start-up, performance ramp-up, and stabilization.

  • Lead technology evaluation and verification efforts, including vendor due diligence, guarantees, trials, and acceptance testing.

  • Ensure safety, reliability, and top-quartile performance through proactive maintenance, quality control, and data-driven decision making.

  • Develop and implement strategic plans for process improvements, cost optimization, and skill development/retention.

  • Build and mentor high-performing teams, fostering collaboration and communication among stakeholders.

  • Drive business growth through effective risk management, audit readiness, and compliance with EHS and statutory requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Must-Have:

    • Extensive experience leading plant setup/commissioning and operations in biofuel/biogas/CBG or closely related continuous-process industries.
    • Proven track record in technology evaluation/verification, troubleshooting, and team leadership.
    • Strong command of EHS, environmental norms, and compliance.
    • Demonstrated ability to drive business growth through process improvements and cost optimization.
    • Bachelor's in Chemical/Mechanical Engineering (or related).

  • Good-to-Have:

    • Master's degree; PMP/PRINCE2; RCM/FMEA experience; energy management and cost optimization track record.

Location & Work Mode: On-site at our Bhavnagar facility, with flexibility during start-ups/turnarounds.
