Operations Director Position

The Operations Director will oversee all operational aspects of event services, ensuring excellence in execution, guest experience, productivity, and profitability.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversight of day-to-day operations for events, including planning, execution, and team management.
  • Collaboration with sales, culinary, and service teams to deliver outstanding events—corporate, social, and weddings.
  • Development and implementation of SOPs for seamless event logistics, from setup through execution and close-out.
  • Monitoring quality standards, guest satisfaction, and service delivery across all events and catering operations.
  • Leadership and mentorship of teams in banqueting, kitchen stewarding, and F&B; recruitment, training, and management of departmental staff.
  • Preparation and management of financial plans, cost control, and efficiency drives for maximum profitability.
  • Maintenance of compliance with health, safety, food handling, and local regulations.
  • Building and nurturing client relationships to maximize repeat business and event referrals.
  • Analysis of operational metrics and feedback to drive continuous improvements in processes and performance.
  • Coordination with vendors for supplies, décor, AV, and event needs.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's/master's degree in hospitality, hotel management, or related field.
  • Minimum 5+ years' operational leadership experience in events and catering in hotels or high-volume venues.
  • Demonstrated expertise in team management, event operations, and logistical planning.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven track record of handling premium events and client satisfaction.
  • Proficiency with MS Office, event management systems, and financial controls.
