Marine Assurance Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced professional to join our Marine Assurance team as a Maritime Vetting Coordinator. This role will be responsible for the day-to-day activities of managing Safe Port, Safe Berth including terminals and STS locations owned, operated, and or used by vessels on business.

The incumbent will ensure all ports, terminals, and berths are timely assessed for business needs. Working on various Continuous Improvement projects in the Maritime Ports Terminal Portfolio.

This position will be a key member of the team managing the input and maintenance of the Global Maritime Assurance System (GMAS) in relation to marine locations. Proactive assessment approach to all standard terminals via DTA Desk Top Assessment tool.

Assessment of risk-related information pertaining to individual terminals and berths, introducing risk mitigation measures where applicable. Maintain the Port Facts database by liaising with IT custodians to ensure new ports are added in a manner that matches and integrates with other systems.

Development of risk assessment tools and database systems to support the scope. On request, assessment of risk of ocean or coastal voyages utilizing the STAR risk assessment tool.

Collaborate with other individuals in the team as well as across Shipping and Maritime organization. Conduct risk assessments of all downstream terminals, FPSOs, CARM locations, and determine eligibility based on inspections, desk top reviews, Virtual assessments, Ship Masters feedback, and other tools.

Maintain coordination with MTAs for Go-See terminals. Ensure accurate data entry of Berth Attributes within the GMAS Database.

  • Key skills include: Risk Management, Analytical Thinking, Problem Solving, Collaboration, Communication, Data Entry, and Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
