Job Overview

Safeguard Global Recruiting is seeking a highly skilled and results-driven Senior Sales Account Manager to join our team. This role requires exceptional leadership, communication, and negotiation skills to drive sales growth and exceed revenue targets.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for owning all aspects of the sales cycle, including prospecting new organizations, conducting needs analyses, and proposing suitable solutions. They will implement a balanced approach of new business development and account management activities, with a focus on establishing strong relationships and driving sales conversions.

Main Responsibilities

  • Achieve an annual sales quota of $2M+, with deal sizes ranging from $150,000 to $350,000
  • Implement account-specific strategies to achieve a balance of 40% transactional sales and 60% contract/forward commitment sales
  • Develop a client base of 20 to 40 corporate accounts through regular face-to-face interaction and multiple contact points
  • Maintain a robust pipeline of opportunities by researching and prospecting new business opportunities through cold calling and alternative reach-out methods
  • Develop and implement a quarterly 'route to target' sales approach using internal sales data and industry insights
  • Independently complete needs analyses, formulate proposals, detail costing, and negotiate payment terms with organizations
  • Act as both product and process specialist, providing market insights to support product development
  • Participate in select strategy meetings to help shape offerings and the direction of the sales team

Requirements

  • 3-4 year Marketing or Sales related qualification
  • 5+ years business development or account management experience in a B2B environment, preferably in SAAS technologies, IT, or online education
  • Experience dealing with high-level/C-suite executives and influencing decision-makers
  • Ability to multitask, manage projects, and work under pressure
  • Excellent interpersonal, leadership, negotiation, and creativity skills
  • New business development experience and account management expertise
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and basic data analysis skills
  • Willingness to travel internationally and domestically

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is $120,000-$180,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications. The company offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
