Job Title: Banquet Manager
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Banquet Manager to join our team at AccorHotel. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the planning and execution of banquets, ensuring that all events are executed to the highest standards of quality and service.
Key Responsibilities:
People Management:
- Team Training: Ensure that the team has been trained for all safety provisions and is equipped to provide exceptional service to our guests.
- Departmental Coordination: Establish and maintain seamless coordination and cooperation with all departments of AccorHotel to ensure maximum cooperation, productivity, morale, and guest service.
- Team Motivation: Motivate and develop the team to ensure smooth functioning of the department and promote teamwork.
- Team Informed: Ensure that the team is well-informed of departmental objectives and policies.
- Representatives: Work with internal/external representatives from different departments for executing the banquets.
Financial Management:
- Budget Preparation: Prepare departmental annual budget and ensure to control and monitor departmental expenditures.
- Database Maintenance: Maintain and update corporate database entering delegate bookings to ensure delegate information/records are kept up to date and accurate for future events.
- Cost Optimization: Identify optimal cost-effective use of resources and educate the team on the same.
Operational Management:
- Efficient Operation: Run an efficient banquet operation with well-trained and attentive staff to provide and ensure high-level guest satisfaction in dining and beverages consumption.
- Company Policies: Ensure that the company policies and standards for Banquet Operations are implemented and closely monitored.
- Guest Response: Ensure that a prompt courteous response and follow-up on all enquiries.
- Booking Details: Ensure that all booking details and requirements are catered to as per the standards.
- Duty Rosters: Ensure that duty rosters are adhered to and making certain that an adequate number of the team will be on duty.
- Service Standards: Ensure that the service of food and drink is courteous and professional.
- Budget Submission: Prepare and submit in the required format all information necessary for budgeting purposes.
- Cost-Effective Operation: Responsible for smooth, efficient, and cost-effective operation of all Banquet food service functions.

- Safety Guidelines: Respects the instructions and safety guidelines for the equipment (s)he uses.
- Security Regulations: Applies the hotel's security regulations (in case of fire, etc).
- Quality Certification: Applies the ISO 14001 quality certification requirements that impact his/her role.
- Environmental Commitments: Respects the hotel's commitments to the Environment Charter (saving energy, recycling, sorting waste, etc.) and meets ISO 14001 environmental commitments as applicable to the role if the hotel is involved in the programme.
