Banquet Department Assistant Manager

Are you a motivated and organized individual looking for a challenging role in the banquet department? We are seeking an Assistant Manager to assist the Banquet Manager and F&B Manager in supervising banquet operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in Supervising Banquet Operations: Work closely with the Banquet Manager and F&B Manager to coordinate and manage all activities of food service operations.
  • Set Departmental Strategies: Assist in setting departmental strategies and goals to achieve operational targets.
  • Perform Cash Reconciliation: Perform accurate reconciliation of daily cash controls.
  • Record Staff Working Hours: Record the working hours of each staff member and process weekly payroll.
  • Ensure Food and Beverage Standards: Ensure all food and beverages are set up and served as per company standards.
  • Maintain Inventory: Maintain inventory of food materials, equipment, linens, and paper supplies to avoid any shortages.
  • Supervise Culinary Operation Team: Supervise the culinary operation team to provide a variety of food items to attract customers.
  • Adhere to Health and Safety Guidelines: Adhere to health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
  • Organize Banquet Events: Organize and execute banquet events to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Provide Outstanding Customer Service: Provide outstanding customer service for repeat business and profitability.
  • Address Customer Needs: Address customer needs and requests promptly.
  • Adhere to Budgetary Guidelines: Adhere to budgetary guidelines and control expenses accordingly.

Requirements:

  • Leadership Experience: Previous leadership experience in a Banquet Department is required, with a minimum of 1 year of experience managing all aspects of meeting spaces.
  • Computer Literacy: Computer literacy in Microsoft Windows applications is required.
  • Education: A University/College degree in a related discipline is preferred.
  • Communication and Organizational Skills: Excellent communication and organizational skills are essential.
  • Interpersonal and Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities are required.
  • Responsibility and Reliability: Highly responsible and reliable individuals are sought after.
  • Ability to Work Under Pressure: Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work cohesively as part of a team.
  • Guest Focus: Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times.
  • Availability: Requires open availability, with the ability to work all shifts, evenings, mornings, weekends, and holidays.
