Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Database Administrator to lead the design and implementation of secure, scalable, and highly available database solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Database Design and Implementation: Develop and implement secure, scalable, and highly available database solutions using SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and MySQL.
  • Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize database performance through indexing, query tuning, and storage management.
  • Capacity Planning: Lead database capacity planning, disaster recovery strategy, and backup/restore processes.
  • Security and Compliance: Implement and enforce database security controls including encryption, access controls, and auditing.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with development, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to support software releases and schema changes.
  • Automation: Automate routine database operations using scripting and infrastructure-as-code tools.
  • Troubleshooting: Manage and troubleshoot replication, clustering, and failover configurations.
  • Documentation: Maintain documentation, procedures, and standards for database systems.
  • Technology Evaluation: Evaluate new database technologies and make recommendations for adoption.

As a Senior Database Administrator, you will work closely with various teams to ensure our data systems are secure, efficient, and ready for growth. You will have opportunities to work with HA/DR solutions, database security, compliance, automation scripting, CI/CD pipelines, cloud-based database platforms, and NoSQL systems.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have 7+ years of experience in database administration, design, and performance tuning. Your expertise should include SQL Server, with working knowledge of other RDBMS, and strong proficiency in T-SQL, stored procedures, and performance analysis tools.
