About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Database Operations Lead to drive strategic direction and optimize our data systems. In this role, you will lead the Operations team, overseeing the monitoring, scheduling, configuration, and maintenance of batch jobs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for user inquiries, troubleshooting, and resolving technical issues.
  • Develop operational processes, guidelines, and best practices to streamline support operations and enhance user experience.
  • Log, prioritize, and collaborate with product teams on resolving bugs and complex technical issues.
  • Monitor critical issues, escalate when necessary, and provide workarounds for unsupported functionality.
  • Help troubleshoot, triage daily issues, and guide the team in solving tickets.
  • Refine Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to enhance service delivery and user satisfaction.
  • Create, modify, and troubleshoot SSIS packages, Stored Procedures, SQL Queries, Automation Processes, and SQL Jobs with a focus on performance optimization.
  • Convert, manipulate, and prepare large volumes of data for ingestion into our systems using SQL Server integration tools.
  • Create, modify, and troubleshoot reporting queries in SQL Server 2019.
  • Maintain and support data ingestion tools and automation scripts.
  • Manage and resolve data-related issues reported by customers and internal employees.
  • Conduct quality and business logic checks on all data entering and exiting systems.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.

Essential Skills:

  • 10+ years' experience in database development and support.
  • Proven SQL Language expertise with high-performance skills.
  • Experience developing and troubleshooting SSIS packages.
  • Experience creating reports and dashboards using Sisense and SSRS.
  • Experience with MS SQL Server.
  • Knowledge of Data Modeling concepts.
  • Experience with one or more scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell).

A strong understanding of database operations, performance optimization, and data management principles is essential for success in this role.
