Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Azure Lead MS-SQL DBA to join our team and contribute to the success of our business.

This role will involve designing, implementing, maintaining, and optimizing Microsoft SQL Server databases within the Azure cloud environment. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Azure Administration, MS-SQL Administration, Upgrade, Migration, and Encryption of MS-SQL Instances.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the high availability, performance, and security of data for various applications. This includes provisioning, configuring, and managing Azure SQL Databases, Managed Instances, and SQL Server on Azure Virtual Machines. Additionally, they will design, implement, and monitor HA/DR strategies such as Always On Availability Groups, geo-replication, and failover groups to ensure business continuity and data resilience.

In this role, you will also plan and execute robust backup and restore operations, validate recovery procedures, and ensure compliance with Recovery Point Objectives (RPO) and Recovery Time Objectives (RTO). You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve bottlenecks by optimizing queries, indexes, and resource allocation. Experience with database security principles and implementation is highly desirable.
