Procurement Strategist

The Procurement Strategist plays a pivotal role in our organization, overseeing the procurement function and driving strategic decision-making.

• Strategic Leadership
  • Lead and manage the purchasing team to develop and implement global procurement strategies, fostering collaboration and innovation across domestic and international markets.
  • Establish policies and procedures to standardize and optimize procurement operations, ensuring compliance with international trade regulations and organizational goals.
  • Drive cost savings and process efficiencies through data-driven analysis and stakeholder engagement.
• Supplier Partnerships
  • Source, evaluate, and develop high-quality suppliers worldwide, leveraging their expertise to enhance operational performance.
  • Negotiate complex contracts and pricing agreements with vendors, balancing business needs with supplier expectations.
  • Maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, fostering trust and open communication throughout the procurement lifecycle.
• Operational Excellence
  • Oversee the creation, approval, and tracking of purchase orders, requisitions, and contracts, ensuring seamless execution and alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast future supply needs, minimizing waste and optimizing stock management.
  • Develop and maintain accurate procurement records, supplier databases, and audit-ready documentation to support executive-level decision-making.
• Reporting & Insights
  • Prepare and present strategic purchasing reports, cost analysis, and market insights to executive management, informing data-driven decisions and shaping the procurement strategy.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify areas for improvement and implement process enhancements, driving continuous learning and professional growth.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field, along with 7+ years of progressive procurement/purchasing experience, including at least 3 years in a managerial role. They will demonstrate excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities, as well as strong analytical, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
