As we continue to scale our operations, we need a seasoned Finance Manager who will oversee end-to-end accounting and book closure activities.

This is a high-impact role that demands a strong foundation in accounting and international financial reporting. While the position is permanent, it will begin as a contractual assignment for a minimum of one year before transitioning to our payroll. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping our financial strategy and ensuring seamless operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement an effective accounting strategy that aligns with our business goals.
  • Manage core accounting functions including general ledger, payroll, utilities, treasury, budgeting, cash forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Handle reconciliations related to capital assets, trust accounts, check runs, fixed asset activity, and debt activity.
  • Monitor and analyze accounting data to generate timely and accurate financial statements and reports.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, policies, and procedures while maintaining a deep understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure.
  • Drive month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closures according to company expectations.
  • Support the Controller/CFO with daily banking requirements, including accurate processing of positive pay transactions.
  • Collaborate with the finance team and management to achieve departmental and organizational objectives.
  • Continuously assess and improve processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and resource utilization within the department.
  • Train and advise team members on handling routine financial reporting and transactions.
  • Design and implement MIS reporting formats, deliver standalone and consolidated reports to management on a monthly basis.
  • Address queries from the Director of Finance/Controller and other stakeholders related to financial results or ad-hoc reporting needs.
  • Supervise the general ledger team to ensure timely compliance with all financial reporting deadlines.

Requirements:

  • CA/CMA/ICWA qualified with a minimum of 3 years of post-qualification experience, or semi-qualified professionals with 8-9 years of relevant combined experience.
  • Proven experience in overseeing accounting operations and managing general ledger processes across multiple entities.
  • Solid understanding of Income Tax and GST provisions, with practical application to day-to-day transactions.
  • Strong communication skills - both verbal and written, with the ability to engage confidently across teams and with leadership.
  • Proactive, smart, and self-motivated professional with a positive 'can-do' attitude.
