Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and edit scholarly manuscripts for clarity, coherence, grammar, and adherence to academic and publication standards.
  • Ensure correctness of grammar, punctuation, and syntax while maintaining the author's original meaning and tone.
  • Verify clarity, logical flow, and coherence in arguments and presentation.
  • Adhere to specific style guides as required by the manuscript.
  • Provide constructive feedback to authors to improve the overall quality of the work.
  • Maintain confidentiality and ethical standards concerning client materials.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in English, Communications, Journalism, or a specific discipline.
  • Proven experience in academic editing or scholarly publishing.
  • Excellent command of the English language and familiarity with academic writing conventions.
