Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned database professional to join our team as an Oracle Database Administrator. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Oracle E-Business Suite R12.2 and Oracle Database 12c, 19c.

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for the administration and maintenance of Oracle databases.
  • Duties will include Oracle SQLNet configuration and working knowledge, knowledge on Concurrent managers, monitoring OEM alerts and acting on them.
  • Key responsibilities will also include installation, configuration and upgrading of Oracle server software and related products.
  • Additional duties may include starting and stopping the application and database, monitoring the application related products like oacore, oafm apache etc.
  • Bouncing apache, oacore, oafm if needed, establishing and maintaining backup and recovery policies and procedures.
  • Taking care of database design and implementation, implementing and maintaining database security (creating and maintaining users and roles, assigning privileges).
  • Working as part of a team and providing 24×7 support, performing general technical trouble shooting and giving consultation to development teams.
  • Interfacing with Oracle Corporation for technical support, performing database tuning and performance monitoring.
  • Performing application tuning and performance monitoring, cloning DEV and TEST from PROD, code migration support to functional consultants.
  • Handling tickets raised by functional/technical/business users, handling alerts raised by alert monitoring system from Database and applications.
  • Patch analysis where there is a patch needs to be applied, patch application using adop online patch cycle as per schedule.
  • Cloning as per schedules, backups and issues related to them, query response time and other performance issues.
  • Working with Oracle Support by raising SRs on several issues, monitoring standby databases and resolving respective issues.
  • Regular database maintenance activities (tablespace management, datapump, purging logfiles etc.)
