Database Administrator Job Summary

The role of Database Administrator involves working as a full-time on-site professional responsible for the day-to-day tasks such as database administration, replication, troubleshooting, and database security to ensure the smooth functioning of databases.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with experience in Oracle database administration, including installation, configuration, and maintenance. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential, along with proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL.

  • Database Administration: Install, configure, and upgrade Oracle database software for optimal performance and reliability.
  • Database Security: Implement and maintain robust database security measures to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Performance Tuning: Optimize database performance by identifying and resolving bottlenecks, tuning SQL queries, and configuring database parameters.
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot complex database issues, including performance problems, data corruption, and system failures.
  • Backup and Recovery: Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies using RMAN to ensure business continuity and minimize data loss.
Key Responsibilities:

- Perform database administration tasks, including installation, configuration, and maintenance.

- Ensure database security and compliance with regulatory requirements.

- Analyze and resolve database performance issues and optimize database performance.

- Troubleshoot complex database issues and develop backup and recovery strategies.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation of database solutions.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field with a strong foundation in database concepts and administration.

- Proficiency in Oracle database administration, including installation, configuration, and maintenance.
