Job Opportunity:

Senior Database Administrator (Big Data)

This is a senior-level position in database administration focused on big data technologies. The ideal candidate will have expertise in managing and maintaining technology stacks, including Cloudera Data Platform, Apache Kafka, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Shell scripting. This role requires strong analytical skills to analyze existing systems, identify areas for improvement, and implement best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain automation scripts using Shell scripting and Ansible
  • Collaborate with data engineers and developers to optimize data pipelines
  • Implement and maintain security best practices across all data platforms
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues across the data stack

Requirements:

To be considered for this position, you must possess a bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field, and at least 6 years of relevant experience. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as well as fluency in English.

Desirable Qualifications:

Previous experience working in a team environment and superior academics are highly desirable.
